Educational background and Titles
Ricardo Thomazinho is a graduate from the University of São Paulo (1993).
In December 2000 he received his law PhD degree at the University of São Paulo School of Law (Dr. iuris), with the thesis Competition Law in Mercosur and the European Union
He has published several articles on competition law, antidumping, countervailing duties and safeguards.
Member of the Brazilian Bar Association São Paulo, since 1994. Member of the American Bar Association. Member of the Deutsch-Brasilianische Juristenvereinigung.
Member of Marcalliance.
Partner focusing his practice in tax law and corporate law, especially in mergers and acquisitions and foreign investment in Brazil, with a vast experience in infra-structure.
His practice is also focused on corporate restructuring, credit recovery and judicial reorganization procedures.
He also has experience in antitrust and antidumping law.
Since 1997 he has represented national and foreign companies of various sizes, including corporations. He also represents international banks doing business in Brazil and companies that operate with infra-structure in Brazil.
